Mini shoot/tea and chat sesh :D

So we got together with a couple of our wedding biz friends and mocked up some pretty table-scapes. It was the first time that Tabitha has accompanied us to a shoot and as it was so cold, she spent pretty much the whole afternoon trying to wriggle out of the many blankets we'd piled on her :)

Pugs and Peonies, an events styling and prop hire company based near Towcester, Northamptonshire will always hold a special place in the White Cottage heart as a year ago, when we reluctantly faced up to the fact that we couldn't dedicate as much time as we wanted to the prop hire side of our business, it was Pugs and Peonies that we handed the reigns over to. You can now hire our rustic lemonade stand that we built for our own wedding, through them and a mighty fine job they do of it too.

Sioux Phillips Floral Design provided the floral pretties for the day including the most kick ass awesome ombre floral backdrop we've ever seen. Sioux is my little sister and although my moral duty as an older sibling is to tell the world that she's good at what she does, my duty as a wedding professional super massively surpasses that and that I can very happily recommend her as a fabulous florist to all of my customers :) She's based in Northampton and as too with Pugs and Peonies, they offer their super skills and services nationwide.

Our get together was more about catching up and seeing what we've all been up to, a bit of a showing off session maybe :) This time of year is crazy busy for those that offer wedding services and so it was nice to take a couple of hours out. We loosely agreed on three table-scapes - a Día de Muertos table bursting with colour, a geometric scape with cute botanicals and a romantic sweetheart table with layers of gold and oppulent blooms. Sioux also needed to get some shots of her amazeballs floral backdrop. The backdrop is really flexible in terms of use but this time, she opted for an ombre carnation drop on invisible line. Lucy also wanted to show off her super cool whiskey trolley, which looked fab with Sioux's ivy based garland.

The day was terribly overcast and grim, but we managed to get a few shots of what we got up to...
